Idiots in the Cinema...

I went to see it on Saturday night with a friend and it was the most irritating cinema experience of my life!

5 Spanish girls beside me with one acting as the translator!

And a bunch of knackers (putting it nicely!!!) sitting behind me… with some choice shouted quotes as…

‘I’d do him, so I would’ – when Lautner took off his top

‘Who’s Charlie?’ – an hour and a half into the film

‘He’s a vampire!?!’ – An hour into the film

‘Shurrrrup will ya’s!!’ – from the fellas who were watching it with them and seemed more into it than they did

And other expletives which I cannot pass on to you all through my work internet connection…

Also if you are opening a bag of sweets… surely its easier and quicker just to open them rather than spend ten minutes trying to open them ‘quietly’??????

*Le sigh* – am still waiting to hear every line from the film….

Robert Pattinson, "I'm sick of looking like a freak" Source Heatworld

Robert Pattinson has admitted in a new interview that he'd hate to be a vampire in real life, because he's sick and tired of looking like a freak all the time. Talking to a slightly flirty (it's something about the way she says "massive" in that knowing way) Penny Smith on GMTV, Rob says he can't stand all the white make-up he has to wear on set, and adds that people are always surprised by how healthy he looks underneath it all. Asked his views on Edward and Bella's intense relationship, Rob admits he's "really against" couples who let everything else fall away when they're together, and says it's important to still have friends and separate lives when you're with someone. What we like most about the interview, however, is just how cute but utterly gorgeous Rob looks. He's clearly not arrogant in any way, which is nice considering the level of fame he's achieved. In the below interview, Rob talks about Taylor Lautner's hot body (yes, really) and what he really thinks about the New Moon fans. Watch and enjoy, R-Pattz fans...

Couples Flock to New Moon After Party By Lisa Ingrassia, people.com

New Moon may be about a love triangle, but it was couples night at the party after the film's Los Angeles premiere Monday night.

Following the screening of Twilight's much-anticipated sequel, costars and fans headed to L.A.'s Hammer Museum.

Jennifer Love Hewitt and boyfriend Jamie Kennedy attended the party, which had an Italian theme as a nod to the New Moon Volturi scenes set in Volterra, Italy. "They were holding hands and walking around, they kept to themselves for the most part," says a fellow partygoer. "They looked like they were having a good time."

Another set of costars who seemed happy to be hanging out? Glee cast members Lea Michele and Mark Salling. "They were whispering, giggling, and talking closely to each other," says the source. "They looked like they were flirting!" (For the record, Michele's rep says the costars are not a couple.)

Partygoers ate Italian food and CRUMBS Bake Shop Twilight-themed cupcakes served by caterers wearing red cloaks, and the outside patio was decorated with extra foliage and red lanterns hanging from trees to mimic the Forks forests, where the film is set.

Keeping Their Distance

More low-key costars were Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, who were spotted holding hands last week. But after a night of dodging questions about the status of their relationship on the red carpet, the costars, along with Taylor Lautner, "headed straight for the VIP area," says a source. According to another guest, Stewart and Pattinson, "didn't hang out at the party."

Later, most of the New Moon cast members headed to the rooftop at the Thompson Beverly Hills where they let loose in a more intimate setting with their close friends and families. "They all stayed hanging out until past 3 a.m.," says another source.

New Moon Sountrack

The Music of New Moon: Match the Song to the Scene
By Janet Mock (Originally posted on people.com Monday November 16, 2009 07:00 AM EST)

With the opening of New Moon just days away, we've taken it upon ourselves to pair songs from the top-selling soundtrack to five pivotal scenes in the Twilight sequel.

Here's our musical match-made-in-heaven predictions for New Moon:

1. Bella's Birthday Party: "Possibility" by Lykke Li
In this exclusive track for the album, Nordic singer Lykke Li purrs the lyrics, "By blood and by me, and I'll fall when you leave." The song couldn't be a more somber match for Edward's (Robert Pattinson) impending departure from his beloved Bella (Kristen Stewart) after her birthday party.

2. Bella's Cliff-Diving Hallucination: "Hearing Damage" by Thom Yorke
So distraught over her breakup, Bella discovers that putting herself at danger (i.e.: cliff-diving into icy waters!) allows her to hallucinate Edward's presence. Yorke's opening phrase, "A tear in my brain/Allows the voices in," has us convinced that this song's perfect for Bella's adventurous drop.

3. Jacob's First Shift: "Monsters" by Hurricane Bells
Bella's fallen for a vampire, and now she's about to find out that her best friend Jacob (Taylor Lautner), who's been consoling her broken heart, is a teen werewolf. Hurricane Bells' "Monsters" – sample lyrics: "If you wasn't too sure then now you know" and "The monsters are buried down deep inside" – is an apt track for Jacob's big shift.

4. Jacob & Bella's Near-Kiss: "Satellite Heart" by Anya Marina
Bella is torn. The love of her life left her and now she's dealing with conflicted feelings for her hot werewolf bestie. We could see a shirtless Jacob singing Anya Marina's lyrics to a heartbroken Bella in an effort to win her over: "So Pretty, So Smart/Such A Waste Of A Young Heart."

5. Bella's Pursuit of Edward in Italy: "Meet Me on the Equinox" by Death Cab For Cutie
With lyrics like, "Let our bodies intertwine/But always understand that everything ends," this one calls for a Bella-Edward make out reunion after she saves him from exposing his shimmering skin in the Italian sun.

Twilight Stars Mobbed

Yesterday's London Metro reported that the Twilight/New Moon stars were mobbed at the fan event which took place in Battersea on Wednesday...

Now let me say one thing... If there had been any mobbing taking place, myself and about ten other girls of the Irish variety would have been at the front of the push to touch the chest hair of Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner (in Lautner's case, the bum fluff beginning to bloom on his little chinny-chin-chin).

I will also skim over the fact that the headline should actually have capitals in it... sheesh, these English tabloids need a lesson in journalism and who better to teach them than a dropout of a journalism course, MOI!

Security was far too tight for mobbing to take place and when yours truly tried to go for a smoke, I was told I couldn't as the stars were arriving. (In truth I should hate RPatz for taking my beloved cig from me but ah, he is just too cute!)

THERE WAS NO OPPORTUNITY TO MOB. Exaggeration much, methinks!

Also, quick hello to Karl the loverly Welsh security man! Its ok that you wouldn't let me in the VIP area... I now understand it was because you didn't want us to be disappointed having gone up there and the famous trio wouldn't be there. I love that you care.

Peace out for now!

Taylor Lautner at the UK New Moon Fan Event

And just a few more pics (its all lies I have loads to put up purely for your entertainment!)

UK New Moon Fan Event

I CAN'T BELIEVE I WAS AT THIS!

UK FAN EVENT NEW MOON - Recap by @IrishTwiSisters

Quick(ish) recap of New Moon Fan Event on Wednesday - RT PLS - I was supposed to be attending the press conference on behalf of an american affiliate of mine and my name had been sent forward to E1. E1 had requested names for the press conference from many fansites. However they neglected to tell anyone any details after that and after several people (myself included) flew to London for it we were told then that E1 had decided to only invite the big magazines & Tv channels (Like OK mag!!!) Anyway it was very disappointing but I got on with it.

Thanks for all the love we got for tweeting from the event yesterday. @IrishTwiFans and I had a crazy busy day - we flew over, met twi girls, went to pick up other twi peeps at Kings Cross to get them to the event - got THEM all into the event only to be told that OUR 2 tickets couldnt be found!! An admin error on their part! After many phone calls between our contact in Dublin & E1 & Event organisers we eventually got in just b4 the start. It was a nuisance but we didnt let it stop us enjoying ourselves and tweeting our hearts out. I dread to see my phone bill (click donate button on blog to help - LOL)- will defo have to hide that bill from the hubby.

@lorrainecawley and a friend (Shivvy) had saved us spots up near the the stage and we had a great view - at least until a 6ft cousin IT impersonator busted her way in to stand in front of me. My 5ft squat little self wasnt going to see anything so i moved to the side so i could video the Q & A.

The stars got a great reception - they all looked relaxed and happy. Chriz Weitz is very funny and I have a little crush on him now. They were on stage for about 30 minutes (I have all the audio - will upload soon). After they left we had a couple more bands and then 10 minutes of New Moon footage which was nothing new to anyone who had watched all the recently released clips from the states.

After a long day, I was in a lot of pain (impending surgery- nothing to worry about) and ended up getting a taxi back to the hostel with @lorrainecawley & @IrishTwiFans who were my saviours and looked after me with painkillers, bananas, yoghurts, wine & then mcdonalds supplied at 1am by Shivvy, @foundmyedward & @trisha_hop . They all rock.

The craziness continued this morning - we barely made the train to gatwick and then my boarding card wouldnt scan - which resulted in @IrishTwiFans & myself running (& hobbling in my case) all over the airport and then poor @IrishTwiFans pushing me in a wheelchair to the gate (she made me giggle the whole way and wave at people like i was the queen). Then she bought me ice cream - maybe she is my new crush xoxo - We finally made it home to Dublin minus one of our twi girlies (flippin ryanair nonsense) but she has since made it home safe & sound.

It was an eventful and brilliant day and I saw the holy trinity...EPIC!!!

Vanity Fair interview with PFach

Having featured the members of Twilight’s Wolf Pack last week, VF.com is switching its allegiance to vampires. On a frigid day in New York City, I caught up with actor Peter Facinelli in between his “medical” commitments—he plays a human doctor on Showtime’s Nurse Jackie and a bloodsucking one, the 400-year-old Dr. Carlisle Cullen, in the Twilight saga—to discuss how New Moon differs from the first Twilight movie, his role as a father figure on and off the set, and what he really thinks of his fellow vampires.

As the patriarch of the Cullen clan, have you assumed a similar fatherly role with the cast?

You know, on Twilight I feel like they looked to me as the father figure, but because we became so close, I’m more of an older brother now.

Has there been a difference in the way you interact as a cast since you filmed Twilight?

Rob[ert Pattinson] has more security guards hanging around him! [Laughs] Other than that, not really. We really enjoy each other’s company, and we’ve been working so much on this movie that we really haven’t had as much time to hang out with each other. We’re putting in these long hours and then just heading home. Usually we just try to catch dinner with each other then get back up the next morning and do it all over again.

What would you say is the one major thing that has changed about your life since starting the franchise?

I’m traveling a lot more than I used to and interacting with a lot more people. The fan base on this, I don’t know how else to explain it … it’s a cultural phenomenon. People will actually hop on a plane to see you. Sometimes I do these charity events, and people fly in to come and see me. I’m just really, really impressed with [the fan] dedication to these books and to the movies. I’ve always had a fan base with the work I’ve done, but never as rabid as this.

You seem pretty dedicated to them, too, judging by your Twitter page.

You know, I love connecting with the fans because I’m a fan of the books myself. They’re all so dedicated and wonderful to me that I love to be able to give back. So if stopping for a picture or signing a book of theirs puts a smile on their face, then that makes me happy, too. I kind of go out of my way to make sure—if there are fans hanging around the set—to try to stop and say hello to them before I get in the van. It takes five minutes to make people happy. I love interacting with them.

You’ve been working steadily since your early twenties—the same age that some of the Twilight cast members are now. Have you been able to offer any advice to any of them, especially at a time when they’ve suddenly been thrust into the spotlight?

I’ve had some conversations with some of the cast about careers because I’ve been working for fifteen years. They’re just starting out with their careers, and for a lot of them this is their first big break. I think they look to me and ask, How do you sustain that? It’s still a mystery to me, too! I feel very lucky. For me it’s about longevity and not about just one movie. It’s got to be a scary time for them because this movie is giving them lots of opportunities. It’s up to them to steer this journey into a career, and not just be part of Twilight and be gone. I look at them, and it’s got to be pretty scary to have that much on their shoulders pretty quick, but I think they’re really talented, really smart, and I think that they’re going to be fine.

What has this done for your career?

I’ve done a lot of movies and different roles, and this is another role that I love to play. I look forward to continue doing a lot more. It’s definitely broadened my fan base even with my own kids. For a long time, they didn’t get to see any of the work I’ve done because of the mature content.

Have any of your daughters seen Twilight?
All three of them have seen it! They’re ages twelve, six, and three. They love it. The 12-year-old has read the first two books, so she loves the movie. My 6-year-old loves it even more; she wants to watch it all the time! Now the 3-year-old, because the 6 year-old likes it, wants to watch it all the time, too. I asked her what she liked about it and she said, “I like the scary parts.”

Have they met the cast? Did they get excited?

My kids are pretty unaffected. They don’t get too star-struck. To them it’s just “Dad’s friends,” which is kind of nice.

How does New Moon differ from Twilight?

You know, Twilight was an independent movie. It was shot very documentary style, the way Catherine [Hardwicke, Twilight’s director] shoots. It has a rawness to it, which I think is nice. New Moon’s a little bit crisper, it has a little bit more of a studio feel, but it still has that edge.

What’s it like playing the same character for three different directors?

That gets interesting. It’s exciting in one way because every director brings their own flavor to the movie. Each director’s personality is different so you kind of have to adapt to their way of working, but I’ve had really good experiences on all three. Sometimes it’s nice working with the same person over and over because there’s a familiarity, but I’m used to working with different directors. On Nurse Jackie we get different directors on each episode. I like it because they bring different ideas and make you think of things you might not have thought of before—pushing you to look at it from different angles. I think it’s harder on the directors to come in and try to make these movies as grand as Twilight was and take on the responsibility of getting the story accurate in terms of telling it from the book. Then they have a whole cast that they haven’t dealt with before, so I think it would be more daunting for the director.

You have so many new cast members coming into it, too …

Our group is such a great bunch that we’re all so welcoming. It’s like broadening your family base. With open arms, we were there waiting. They came out to dinners with us and just became part of the family.

Speaking of family, will you please give me one word to describe each of the Cullen clan actors starting with Kellan Lutz?

Ok. [Laughs] Goofy!

Nikki Reed:

Complex.

Jackson Rathbone:
Artistic.

Kristen Stewart:

Sweet.

Elizabeth Reaser:

Awesome.

Ashley Greene:

Pixie-ish, she’s like a fairy—she’s so light on her feet. Bubbly, that’s the word.

Rob Pattinson:

Mmm, Rob. Rob’s a good one. It’s hard to narrow down to one. So many words come to mind! Brooding, tortured … but he’s a good kid. What’s the word for a solidly good guy?

Solid?

Solid. He is. He’s solid.

Finally, what your word of the day?

Cold!

Eau de Bella

We all know what Bella smells like from reading the Twilight books, fan fictions, etc. but how much do we want to smell like her and bag ourselves our own Edward...? Well, m'dears I have come up with the ways of ensuring that we constantly smell like a strawberry desert, luscious to all Edwards out there!

Step One - Alberto Balsam Shampoo

Its cheap and cheerful and the scent stays!

Step Two - The Body Shop Body Butter

Slightly more pricey but if applied straight after a shower the smells never leaves you... It smells good enough to eat (Don't do it though... tried that... not so nice!)

Step Three (Last but not Least) - Strawberry body spray from the Natural Collection at Boots

Another Budget Bella item (usually on offer with three for two at Boots!). If you feel your scent is waning, spritz some of this on and you'll be smelling like Wexford during Strawberry season... Ripe and ready for the picking.

Some warnings though!

1. Do not do this during summer or you'll be not only attracting vegetarian vampires but wasps, bees and other such nasties
2. Any more than these three items make you smell like a potent fruit salad... not exactly what we're aiming for!
3. You will be so sexy you will not only attract Edwards but some Mike's, Eric's and Taylor's so be ready to swat off the unwanted!

And last but not least...

4. One Edward per lady... we gots to share girls! :)
